HEAT INJURY PREVENTION


Notice: Documents provided below may contain the outdated fluid replacement guidelines/table, outdated work/rest cycles, or the fluid replacement information is given in general terms. The Policy Guidance for Fluid Replacement During Training contains the current information. The maximum amount of fluid replacement should be no more than 1 1/2 quarts per hour and not more than 12 quarts per day.

Heat Injury Prevention Pocket Guide

Multi-folded waterproof guide for Drill Instructors, Cadre and Leaders to keep in their pocket or hat.

1. If possible, configure your local printer to print "double sided" on 8 1/2" X 11" paper. Otherwise, glue the two sheets back to back.
2. Fold the sheet into half horizontally (Warning Signs and Symptoms to the inside)
3. Then fold half again (Heat Injury Controls to the inside)
4. Fold half again (Fluid Replacement And Work/Rest Guide inside)
