MISSION: The U.S. Army's Center for Health Promotion and Preventive Medicine's Laser/Optical Radiation Program has served as the Army's laser safety consultant for over 30 years. The Laser/Optical Radiation Program is the Department of Defense's leader in laser hazard analysis providing support to all the Uniformed Services as well as many other Federal agencies. Members of the Laser/Optical Radiation Program serve in Military, National, and International Stardards Committees setting exposure limits for lasers. With extensive laboratory, field service and data collection capabilities the Laser/Optical Radiation Program stands alone as the governments's premier laser safety organization. The staff of the Laser/OpticalRadiation Program has over 150 years of cumulative experience in laser safety consults, audits, analysis and eye protection evaluations. The Laser/Optical Radiation Program keeps pace with todays technology and still provides a timely, inexpensive, quality service.
